This is how we roll!

We are so happy to have wrapped up another successful season. We are rolling into our sixth season and now have 30 rostered skaters, a full coaching staff and devoted parents who help keep us rolling.
The Atomic Bettys and The Cereal Killers are our home teams for all league members levels 1-3 that play non-sanctioned games at our home venue-Buffalo RiverWorks; a purpose built roller derby facility in which we practice at and host games with other leagues.
When your daughter joins us, she will take an assessment provided to her by our coaching staff. She will then get placed with a level ranging from 1-3. Levels 1 are beginner skaters that are just learning how to skate and will get help from our coaching staff to learn the basic needs and rules in order to play in a game. Levels 2 are light-contact, no accelerated hitting-which means she cannot take two or more strides into making a hit to another skater. Levels 3 skaters are full-contact and are considered adult-level, which means they play by the same rules as women from adult leagues do. Accelerated hitting and all is allowable. Level 3 can also be considered travel team level!
Our travel team plays sanctioned games are are willing to travel pretty much anywhere to play derby! If you're a league interested in playing us, just email omgurl@yahoo.com and we'll get the conversation rolling! This past season we have played the Crooked River Roller Girls, Toronto Junior Roller Derby, Gotham Junior Roller Derby, Ithaca Juniors, Indianapolis Juniors, and The Chicago Massacre. In 2014, we participated in the first JRDA E/NE Regional Tournament in Toronto, Canada which resulted in Veggy Cowgirl and Devil's Daughter getting selected to represent the region in a Jr All Star Expo Bout before the Blood & Thunder World Cup in Dallas, TX in December. We've also moved up in ranking on the National level (tons of thanks to our amazing coaching staff for that) and are looking forward to moving up even further next season. But roller derby isn't all about skating. Aside from our hard work on the track, the Junior girls also like to give back to the community by volunteering for local charitable organizations, including our first pet food drive and helping our local ASPCA. We also have fun camping, fundraising, volunteering, team building and helping to make our community a better place.
